Monday's Muse

Monday, July 6

Sorry, but the image containing the Monday's Muse has been removed from this blog so as not to violate any copyright issues.  Thanks for your understanding!

This week's muse is in honor of Medieval Romance week here at Seductive Musings. There's just something about a man in leather with a sword that makes me want to swoon...He's definitely drool worthy.

This week will feature many guest authors and giveaways. Want to know what to look forward to? Here's a list of events already scheduled for the week, with the possibility of a few more surprises to come:

Tuesday 7/7

New talent Margaret Mallory will be here guest blogging with a giveaway of (5) copies of her new historical romance Knight of Desire

Wednesday 7/8

One of my favorite authors Karin Tabke will be here guest blogging and offering a giveaway or two, and we will be featuring her Blood Sword Legacy series, and have a link to a free short story

Thursday 7/9

It is my great pleasure to have author Amanda McIntyre with us for an interview and a giveaway of her new novel, Tortured, which will not even be out in stores until August 1st. You could win it here! (I know I want one)

Friday 7/10

Seductive Musings will also feature Amanda Scott's newest book out this month, Tempted by a Laird, and we will be giving away 5 copies!

Saturday 7/11

We'll wrap the week up with Hannah Howell's latest My Lady Captor, and a list of some of my favorite medieval romances that were not featured during the week

...and that's not all we have planned, so make sure you come back daily. Want to earn extra entries in the Margaret Mallory Knight of Desire giveaway? Blog about Medieval Romance Week on your blog or website (using the widget on the sidebar or a regular post) and leave a comment here with the link and you'll earn 5 extra entries! It's just that simple.

p.s. we still have our My Forbidden Desire and A Hint of Wicked giveaways too, but hurry they end 7/10/09

I love reading Medieval romance! I am so looking forward to the chatting this week! I have Margaret's book ordered and coming any day now, but so looking forward to chatting about hers. I'm excited about Amanda McIntryre's upcoming book. I'm so thrilled she's writing for NY!! Neat on Karin too! I got book one here to read and book 2 of her series on its way and book 3 on my wishlist, LOL. I told you I love Medieval romances! I'm due to read another of Hannah Howell's books! Great she has a new one too, Whew, I got shopping to do.

In the meantime I'm just starting a Medieval romance of Julie Garwood! THE BRIDE! I read THE WEDDING some time back and it was so good. And I was just talking with someone about ones I haven't read yet so I pulled this out to start today!

I'm off to post your chat this week on my blog.

I just love a man in leather with a sword in his hand. I'm right there with you on the drool front. I love the template you're using. It's a really pretty blue and I love black.

booklover1335 July 6, 2009 at 6:57 PM

Hey Babyblue22:
I love the Tudors too, and initially started watching it because of JHM, but Henry Cavill quickly took the spotlight IMHO :) Glad you will be joining us this week!

Hi Barbara!
Thanks for the compliment on the blue & black. I love it too, I really thinks it really makes things stand out, but can't take credit for anything except picking it out :)

Well, better late than never, I suppose. I've been away on vacation, but happened to check out Karin's blog and saw her post that this Medieval Week had been going on. I love the Medieval period and was considering getting my PhD in it, but alas, my DH and I got pregnant.

When my son was first born and i used to rock him to sleep, I would read aloud to him from Morris Bishops "The Middle Ages." When I told him that, he said, "NO wonder I love that time period!"

Though I never went back for that last degree, I still enjoy reading about this time period, ESPECIALLY in romances, which I've been reading since my pre-teen days back in the early 70's.

Please enter me for whatever contests are available. I shall be making my way through the week now.

Do I need to notify each author for the week that I have become a follower of Seductive Musings? I am rebelheart.

booklover1335 July 10, 2009 at 7:47 PM

Hey Julie,
Thanks for stopping by! You don't need to notify the author that you became a follower, but you do need to comment on each post that you would like to win a book for. For additional entries you need to mention that you are a follower in your comment. Hope this clears up any confusion. Good Luck!

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both and gift cards on this rewards site)
