Teaser Tuesday: Knight of Desire, Master of Craving & Tortured

Tuesday, July 7

"The knowledge that she betrayed her first husband and loathed the idea of marrying him did not dampen his ardor at all. Desiring her was one thing. Trusting her quite another." p. 31 Knight of Desire by Margaret Mallory

"Stefan watched her glide into the room, a golden angel, a princess, a woman whom he craved above all others, and a woman who was out of his realm of ever possessing. She was a royal, and he a bastard. She was betrothed, and he a knight of William, she a lady who under normal circumstances would not give him a second glance” p. 147 Master of Craving by Karin Tabke

Want to read more, buy Master of Craving. Make sure you visit Wednesday 7/8 when Karin Tabke will be here talking about her historical romances and giving away a copy of Master of Surrender to one lucky commenter.

"In truth, Sierra did not know what Cearl saw in her. Sentenced to aid the executioner, as his apprentice, she was ordered to keep her hair short and wear men’s clothing. It was part of her punishment to have no identity, no gender." Ch. 1 from Tortured by Amanda McIntyre

Want to read more, buy Tortured...or enter to win a copy when Amanda McIntyre visits Seductive Musings later this week for an interview and a giveaway of her highly anticipated new novel.

All of the books for this week's Teaser Tuesday are being featured here during Medieval Romance Week at Seductive Musings, with several guest authors and giveaways so visit us daily to learn more about these great new books!

*Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Too Hotty July 7, 2009 at 7:15 AM

Ooh. I'm not a romance person, but that last one is striking.

Great teasers Carrie!

"He rose and took her into his arms, swaying with her for long moments until she smiled against the bare skin of his chest."

"Her hands moved up his back and over his skull, carressing, kneeding, tracing the tattoos."

"And as if the raw beauty of his body wasn’t enough,
Lucan’s gorgeous skin was decorated with a jaw-dropping
array of intricate tattoos."

her hands travel all over him, marveling at both the
mysterious man and the unusual art he wore."

I didn't know about Teaser Tuesdays, but shall have to check it out from now on. Here are mine from my current reads:

"They fell into a clump against the far wall, Griffyn propelled backwards by her headlong rush. He struggled to his knees and clamped his hand over her mouth, which she'd opened to scream." (pg. 74)

"He shifted his hand to the front of her body and did the same long possessive sweep up, belly to breast. Her body unraveled as if it were uncoiling, her spine arching, her chin coming up, her head dropping to the side, her lips parting, her breath hot and slow.
Griffyn watched her, expressionless. But inside he was burning. His hardness pulsed and demanded release. In her." (pg. 262

from Kris Kennedy's debut novel, "The Conqueror"

I highly recommend this book for all lovers of medieval romances. It takes place in 1152.

I just found this site tonight and am having a good time looking back over the weeks posts. Can't wait to read all three of these books. Will be starting Karin's series soon, and Tortured has been on my list for weeks.
My teaser sentences:
She kept he voice low and admitted to her maid, "After two days of his constant company,I am ready to run his own sword through him."
From FALCON' LOVE by Denise Lynn.

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy one...so in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca gift cards on this rewards site)
