July's Reading List

Saturday, August 8

July was not such a great reading month for me...now that I think about it ever since I started this blog my reading has been cut down especially in July. I had a lot of giveaways and two themed weeks that took a lot of time to plan, but were immensely fun so plan on seeing more in the future.

August looks to be a little bit slower, but I have a lot of books to review this month that I have committed to so my "pleasure reading" is also being restricted. Might have to change the number of "must reviews" each month, so that I can make sure I get more pleasure reading time. My problem is that there are so many books in my TBR that I want to read, not "have to" reads, but just not enough time in the day to devote to everything that I love. Do you have this problem? My TBR is out of control, and I keep adding to it every month, but the real problem is that I am adding to it much faster than I am reading them. Do you have this problem?

I feel that there are so many great reads out there waiting to be discovered and hate to be missing out. Maybe I am just a slow reader, but I enjoy savoring every written word, and immersing myself into the world that is created when I read. Hence my new monthly recap mascot featured in this post. No it's not me, but represents sometimes how I feel when faced with my romance book addiction and my mounting TBR :)

So here's the meager list of books read for July:

  • Knight of Desire by Margaret Mallory (3.75 stars)
  • Master of Craving by Karin Tabke (3.5 stars)
  • One Scream Away by Kate Brody (3.75 stars)
  • The Reluctant Dom by Tymber Dalton (4.75 stars)
  • Domme by Default by Tymber Dalton (4.0 stars)
  • On His Knees by Beth Williamson (4.5 stars)
  • Sweet Persuasion by Maya Banks (4.5 stars)
  • Laid Bare by Lauren Dane (4.5 stars)
  • Finger Lickin' Fifteen by Janet Evanovich (3.75 stars)
  • Sweet Restraint by Beth Kery (4.0 stars)
  • Wicked Garden by Lorelei James (3.5 stars)
  • Sweet Redemption by Nicole Morgan (2.75 stars an up and coming author to look for)

Awesome list! I promised myself that I'd make a list too, i'm bad at not keeping a list of what I read!

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy one...so in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca gift cards on this rewards site)
