Teaser Tuesday: Summer of Two Wishes, The Tycoon's Secret Affair, & In Bed With A Stranger

Tuesday, August 18

"You're remarried?" he asked. His voice sounding strange to him. She responded with a sob. As the realization slowly sank in Finn felt something twist painfully very deep within him. This could not be happening. He'd endured three years to come back to her-how in the hell could she not be his?" p.37 Summer of Two Wishes by Julia London*

* Julia London is our guest author @ Seductive Musings today 8/18 discussing Summer of Two Wishes, read the interview and comment to have the chance to win one of two copies being given away!

"He didn't trust her. She didn't think he even particularly liked her, but he desired her, that much was obvious. And she desired him. It wasn't enough. Not even close, but it was all they had. Not exactly a prime start to a marriage."
p. 59 The Tycoon's Secret Affair by Maya Banks

"But to take her place in the wedding bed....Anne shivered, unable to grasp such an idea. To agree to such a bargain made her no better than a whore. A woman reduced to using her body to buy what she needed. But there really was no choice to make. She would choose her love for her family above herself."
p. 30 In Bed With A Stranger by Mary Wine

  • Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Those are all wonderful teasers! I haven't read many romance novels lately, but Summer of Two Wishes sounds really intriguing. I may have to give it a closer look.

Romance is not my usual read but Summer of Two Wishes may be one I pick up. Good job!

Oh wow. That first teaser (Summer of Two Wishes) really got me. I've never read romance books but this one might make me give them a try.

JoAnn August 18, 2009 at 9:33 PM

I'm not really a romance reader, but this sounds good.

Those are all such great teasers! I think the first one sounds especially heart-breaking, though the third is intriguing as well. And I've read the second book already. :-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

After reading this and the description you posted from the back of the book, I am definitely adding it to my TBR list!! Not normally a love story kind of girl, but I think I could make an exception. And great interview with the author too!

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy one...so in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca gift cards on this rewards site)
