Feature & Giveaway: A Highlander Christmas by Janet Chapman

Friday, December 18

***This giveaway has ended.  Thanks for joining the fun!***

I know there are many Highland romance lovers out there just like me, that is why in the spirit of giving this holiday season I am happy to present Janet Chapman's newest release in the Highlander series, A Highlander Christmas.

Camry MacKeage has absolutely no intention of telling her parents that she left her job as a NASA physicist for the small-town life of a dog-sitter -- which is why she's spending the holidays alone in coastal Maine with her furry friends Tigger and Max. Unfortunately, her irresistibly handsome rival, scientist Luke Pascal, accidentally spilled the beans. Now he's on a mission from her mother to tempt Camry home for the family's annual winter solstice celebration. But Luke is hiding his own secret, and he'll need a little bit of magic to earn Camry's trust...and a whole lot of mistletoe to seduce his way into her heart.

*I am an Amazon affiliate and receive a small (and I mean very small) referral fee for purchases made using a link on this blog. I don't use Amazon to earn money, I use it because the widgets are cool, easy to use, and serve my purposes to showcase books & such with minimal effort, but most importantly they have great prices and offer both new and used items. As a book addict I love that I can find just about anything I want in one place. If you are going to purchase a featured book anyway, and you know you won't pay more by using the links on this blog than you would by visiting Amazon on your own, I will be eternally grateful for supporting this blog by using the links :)

Favorite Holiday tradition. Filling the children's with little gifts, candy and apple and orange. They knew they could get their stocking and open the gifts in it as soon as they got up Christmas morning. Gave us parents a few extra minutes of sleep before they came in to tell us Santa came and to get up so they could open their presents.
Janet Chapman is one of my favorites. I didn't realize she had put out a Christmas book this year.

My kids enjoy hanging the ornaments on the tree and reminiscing about where we got each one or who made it. It's one of the few times that all three of them actually get along. lol

My fav tradition...is on Christmas Eve, I get out all my Christmas CDs and play them while I wrap Christmas presents in front of the lit tree with a glass of wine. Then I get all the assorted batteries, screwdrivers, etc. gathered together so that I don't have to go searching for them Christmas morning while all the kids are waiting.

I absolutely adore Christmas music, even if some of it does make me cry! My mom and I both loved all-out, over-the-top, sing-your-heart-out Christmas music. We had a tradition of loading up our dogs in the car one night each holiday season to go see the Christmas lights throughout the area. Mom and I would sing holiday songs at the top of our voices, and the dogs were a captive audience. We always ended the evening with a trip to the ice cream store! Mom got eggnog ice cream, I got peppermint candy cane ice cream, and the dogs got vanilla! By the way, occasionally our singing did set the dogs off, and then there was howling and singing.

My favorite holiday tradition is getting together every year with all of my extended family. We meet each year at a different location than the last, and we get to catch up on each others lives, it's sort of like having a family reunion once a year because through out the rest of the year we don't really see each other all that often.

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy one...so in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca gift cards on this rewards site)
