Monday was the official release day of Vivian Arend's newest installment in her Six Pack Ranch series, ROCKY MOUNTAIN HAVEN. I first discovered Vivian and her books when I read ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEAT (book #1 in this series). I loved it so much that I emailed her the morning after I finished it to profess my undying love, and to find out when the next book would be coming out. If you've not read it then you are really missing out my friends....I'm talking six mouthwatering cowboys people! ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEAT was one of my favorite reads from 2009 (click here for the complete list), and was one of the books that started my love of cowboy romances. I mean how can you not completely melt into a puddle of lust with inspiration such as this:
I'm not sure who Vivian's actual inspiration was when she wrote about Daniel, the hero in ROCKY MOUNTAIN HAVEN, but if he was anything like this cowboy Muse it's no wonder she was inspired!
Welcome to the Six Pack Ranch, where learning to live again takes some sensual twists.
Beth Danube has escaped to a small Alberta town to make a new start for herself and her three little boys. Her emotionally abusive husband may be dead and buried, but so is her heart. What she doesn’t want is another man in her life—not now, maybe not ever. Yet when her libido reawakens after ten years of unsatisfactory sex in the missionary position is any woman strong enough to turn down sex-in-boots, Daniel Coleman?
The middle child of the rowdy Coleman boys, Daniel’s the quiet one who has always subdued his desires and acted as peacemaker. His powerful attraction to the young widow takes him by storm, and he’s willing to pursue her until they both find satisfaction—in and out of the bedroom.
Only Beth isn’t sure she’s ready to cross the line. Becoming friends with blazing hot benefits means she’s still the one in control. Letting her heart trust again? She isn’t that brave—or foolish. Daniel is going to have to be mighty convincing to help her overcome the past.
I love Vivian Arend's contemporary romances, but I think she is more popularly known for her "Wolfies". If you are interested in reading Rocky Mountain Heat (book #1), or any of her other books, My Bookstore and More is still offering a 20% discount on your entire ebook order when you use coupon code "shinynew". They don't have Rocky Mountain Haven listed yet, but since they have the first book, Rocky Mountain Heat, I would be surprised if they wouldn't eventually get Haven. All Romance also has her books including her futuristic erotic romance, Claiming Darryn, published with Ellora's Cave, but doesn't have Haven yet either, however it is available for purchase at the publisher Liquid Silver Books.
Vivian's having a Red Hot reader contest going on to celebrate the release of Rocky Mountain Haven, with links to other cowboy goodness. You can enter to win and check it all out on her blog.
My question to you is, who's your favorite cowboy romance hero and why?
Share the Love is a weekly meme hosted by Seductive Musings every Wednesday.
- Every Wednesday post whatever it is that you love on your blog or website.
- Then leave a link to your post in the comments on the weekly Share the Love post at Seductive Musings. If you don't have a blog, that's ok you can still share the love in your comment on the weekly Seductive Musings post.
- What can you share...well that depends on what you love :) Here are some ideas: a new blog or website, a great recipe that is a taste bud triumph, new shoes or purse that you seriously can't afford but lust after anyway, a great love story like the ones from When Harry Met Sally, a love note to someone special in your life (or wish was), a book you just adore and can't wait to share with someone, a song or CD that plays on repeat until it's worn out, poems, pictures, videos, or even baby giggles :) I think you get the idea.

I don't use Amazon to earn money, I use it because the widgets are cool, easy to use, and serve my purposes to showcase books & such with minimal effort, but most importantly they have great prices and offer both new and used items. As a book addict I love that I can find just about anything I want in one place. If you are going to purchase a featured book anyway, and you know you won't pay more by using the links on this blog than you would by visiting Amazon on your own, I will be eternally grateful for supporting this blog by using the links, and don't forget that the referral fees from your purchases will sponsor the "Reader Rewards" giveaways :)
