Monday's Muse

Monday, July 19

Sorry, but the image containing the Monday's Muse has been removed from this blog so as not to violate any copyright issues.  Thanks for your understanding!

Our Muse this week is fresh from his shower that he took last week.  He's another God...of football that is, (not literally of course) although after looking at him a little bit more that point may be debatable :)

What's going on with you this week?  Me, not so much...which I am glad about because the next two weeks are so full of guests that I'm wondering where my sanity fled too.  I'll be off and on this week with reviews and some winners....and reading of course.  Why is it that June was a shorter month yet I managed to read more than I am in July which is a longer month?

Here's hoping you survive the Monday blues!

p.s. There's also a new Tempting Trailer for Bertrice Small's Passionate Pleasures up for your viewing pleasure :)

I don't use Amazon to earn money, I use it because the widgets are cool, easy to use, and serve my purposes to showcase books & such with minimal effort, but most importantly they have great prices and offer both new and used items. As a book addict I love that I can find just about anything I want in one place. If you are going to purchase a featured book anyway, and you know you won't pay more by using the links on this blog than you would by visiting Amazon on your own, I will be eternally grateful for supporting this blog by using the links, and don't forget that the referral fees from your purchases will sponsor the "Reader Rewards" giveaways :)

mmm, this shall motivate us this week!

I had such a slow week that I was looking up on Amazon with the indie (independent) authors that self-pub on Amazon and found one that I started reading the excerpt and grabbed it and loved it! It was a sweet traditional regency. So comforting and fun! It so got my mood up! I haven't read something sweet-like a traditional regency, in so long. But it worked! So lets see whats next! And finally wrote up a review so I did better this weekend than all week!

I'm looking forward to your busy week here! Off to check out Ms. Small's trailer!

I read very little this weekend. I blame baseball. Need to pull double reading duty this week. My TBR is threatening.

I saw your August line-up and started squealing! So many of my favorites: LJ, Hoyt, Dahl, McCarthy!!! And some names I've wanted to get to know better. Love it. Can hardly wait!

Have a great week.

Your Monday Muse is a god...whether he be a god of football or any other sport a god none the less...

I read a terrific book, Beachcombers by Nancy Thayer. Just what wants for a sultry summer weekend..
My tbr shelve is over flowing with great books to read.. I just need more reading time..

Have a wonderful week.. and am waiting on that Beatrice Small book... Can't wait to read it..

Hey Cathie,

You'll have to let me know the name of the regency historical that you just got done reading that you loved so much. Not that I need any more books in my TBR, but still :)

TBR's that are threatening. I have one of those too! I actually just had to add a new bookshelf for what I thought would hold all of the books that I needed to sell. I went through all of the books that I had...sorted them by author and genre, as well as books that I still wanted to read....let's just say that the books that ended up on the new bookshelves are a fraction, a small fraction of the books that returned to the TBR bookshelf (yep it's an entire four shelf bookcase and that's not even counting the ebooks!).

Hi Kathleen,

I'm looking forward to the new Bertrice Small too! Maybe I should send her an invitation to be a guest here?

I think having Beatrice as a guest would be a wonderful idea!!!!

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both and gift cards on this rewards site)
