Giveaway: My Immortal Assassin by Carolyn Jewel

Tuesday, January 18

Grayson Spencer is hellbent on killing the dark mage who destroyed her life. But when her attempt fails, she is forced to turn to Durian, a feared demon and expert assassin. Newly armed with powerful magic she's barely able to control, she'll do whatever it takes to complete her mission--even surrender to a dangerous fiend whose eyes promise unimaginable pleasure.

Sworn to protect all mages, Durian can't let Gray threaten the uneasy peace among demons, humans, and mages. So he proposes a deal: He'll train Gray to master her gift if she'll bind herself magically to him, submitting to his control. As Gray's powers intensify, so too does Durian's hunger for this fierce, irresistible woman. When the dark mage makes a final play for Gray, will the passion she and Durian share be the key to their survival or the seed of their destruction?

*I am an Amazon affiliate and receive a small (and I mean very small) referral fee for purchases made using a link on this blog. I don't use Amazon to earn money, I use it because the widgets are cool, easy to use, and serve my purposes to showcase books & such with minimal effort, but most importantly they have great prices and offer both new and used items. As a book addict I love that I can find just about anything I want in one place. If you are going to purchase a featured book anyway, and you know you won't pay more by using the links on this blog than you would by visiting Amazon on your own, I will be eternally grateful for supporting this blog by using the links, and don't forget that the referral fees from your purchases will sponsor the "Reader Rewards" giveaways :)

No, no vampires cannot be history! They are my favorite. I just cannot get into the zombie craze. I prefer the undead.

I love all paranormal creatures. But vamps are still at the top of my list. They will always be popular. They have been around so long.

I am a fan of any kind of paranormal hero. Though my absolute favorite is vampires. They were the first paranormal beings that I read about and I just love them. There is nothing sexier than a strong alpha male vampire.

No I don't think vampires are "history." My favorite paranormal hero is still the vampire, although I enjoy all of the other fantastic creatures I read about as well.

Personally I just think vampires are over done. Not necessarily history per say but when you think about it they are tirelessly overused. But every once in a blue moon a good one will come along. Personally though I prefer shifter heroes. I think it's mostly because I love animals and their behaviors so much.

I like reading them all but vampire is my favorite. There is a classic history to the type but there is so much variation that can be done with the individual creation.

I think vampires have been around in stories for many years and they are a favorite paranormal character for me since they can be portrayed in so many ways.

No way are vampires "history", their mythology is just too interesting and long-standing, and I still love reading sexy vampire pnr books:) But my favorite paranormal romance hero in general has been the shifter/weres! I love the new ways authors involve "packs" and mating bonds:D

My favorite paranormal is vampires. I love reading about them. Please enter me in contest. I would love to read this book.

I don't think vampires are history. They have an appeal that will probably remain. I think the number of books in which they are the main focus will ebb and flow over time, but they will stay with us.

At the moment, I think shifters are my favorite.

The MY IMMORTAL series sounds really good, but I haven't had a chance to read any of them yet. More added to my TBR list.
