Monday's Muse

Monday, February 21

Sorry, but the image containing the Monday's Muse has been removed from this blog so as not to violate any copyright issues.  Thanks for your understanding!

You know, sometimes the only reason why I look forward to Monday's are because we get to have a new Muse.  That's not really the case today because I have this Monday off due to President's day.  Woo hoo!  So I thought we deserved an extra special Muse...cowboy style.  Now I know you may think, cowboy?  Where did she get that...because honestly it's hard to look away from the upper half of his body....and that look....holy cow that's hot!  But if you take a look south of the border you'll notice he's putting on cowboy boots.  See, cowboy :)  I heard Big & Rich's song "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" over the weekend and just had to smile, because that is something that I can definitely get on board about :)

I've been reading a lot of historical romances lately, but March 1st is right around the corner.  It is the release day I am most looking forward to for the entire year and it has a lot of contemporary romances.  Have you seen how many great romances are being released on this one day?  It is going to be BIG!  And one of the books  releasing next Tuesday that I've been eagerly awaiting is Lorelei James' Saddled and Spurred, so naturally I've got cowboys on the brain.  I so can't wait!!!  It's one of the romances I bought on my awesome bargain book buying spree a couple of Sundays ago and can't wait to get it in the mail.  A trade sized paperback new release for less than a mass market paperback book...LOVE THAT!  I wish publishers would do this more often.  Normally I think time flees too quickly, but March 1st can't come soon enough for me.

In the meantime, this week at Seductive Musings:
  • Monday:  The fabulous Marie Force will be my guest to talk about everyday heroes in celebration of her new contemporary romance Everyone Loves a Hero...
  • Tuesday:  I will have winners from last week's giveaways and possibly the last Outlander giveaway winner to announce.  Yep, I've almost given away all 20 copies that I had.  But don't worry I'll have some ARC's to giveaway after that as I try to clear out some of my bookshelves.
  • There is a new Tempting Trailer, and this week it's for one of my favorite anthology series from Lori Foster.  For several years she and a group of authors each donate a short story for an anthology and all of the proceeds from the sale of the book goes to a charity.  I love this idea!  This year the title is The Promise of Love and some of the contributing authors are Lori Foster, Erin McCarthy, Sylvia Day, Kathy Love, Kate Douglas and more.  It doesn't come out until June 1st, but it's something that I can't wait to read.
Finally, Happy Release Day to the following authors who have new releases this week:

So let me ask you this:  Do you prefer to have the "New Temptations" in the Monday post for what is being released that week, or do you prefer to have the entire month's worth of new releases in the sidebar on the blog? Do you even care about this feature?  If you could have one, or none what would you prefer?  I'd love to have your input.

*I am an Amazon affiliate and receive a small (and I mean very small) referral fee for purchases made using a link on this blog. I don't use Amazon to earn money, I use it because the widgets are cool, easy to use, and serve my purposes to showcase books & such with minimal effort, but most importantly they have great prices and offer both new and used items. As a book addict I love that I can find just about anything I want in one place. If you are going to purchase a featured book anyway, and you know you won't pay more by using the links on this blog than you would by visiting Amazon on your own, I will be eternally grateful for supporting this blog by using the links, and don't forget that the referral fees from your purchases will sponsor the "Reader Rewards" giveaways :)

First and most important,
THANK YOU for the cowboy!

I prefer the New Temptations to remain weekly. Good Grief! As it is, I barely keep up. If it was monthly, I would be buried. Please keep it weekly.

You're a Peach!

Isn't he great Artemis!!! I featured him one other time and was lucky enough when I first found him to also snag a few other Muse inspirations :)

And like you I kinda like the weekly Temptations. It is much more manageable. Thanks for letting me know and you have good Muse taste :)

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both and gift cards on this rewards site)
