Monday's Muse....eight pack abs...it's not an urban myth

Monday, March 14

Sorry, but the image containing the Monday's Muse has been removed from this blog so as not to violate any copyright issues.  Thanks for your understanding!

Many a hero in romance has been described as having the perfect 6 pack abs, but our Muse this week has that and more...8 pack abs. Yep, go ahead and count them....is possibly if you wanted to head down south a ways further you might even be able to argue a case for a possibly 10 pack (insane! but only in the best way possible).

Will this become the new romance hero standard?  It's something that I could definitely get behind...I mean who needs fantasy when you have a Muse like this I ask you?  And when I saw he was wearing unbuttoned jeans (a definite weakness of mine) with those hands...and everything.  He's pretty much the perfect package don't you think? When I first saw him, I was like *gasp* OMG!  Then I was silent for a few seconds :)  Maybe more like stunned...who cares really, right?

What started all of this was because of the books I read last week by Jill Shalvis, whose heroes had lickable abs(according to the heroines) so I wanted to have a Muse based on those heroes.  It worked out well I  think :)  Anyways, I read Animal Magnetism, which is the beginning of a new series, and I absolutely completely and extremely loved this book! (and for those of you with toddlers I bet  you might be able to tell which book series we've been reading a lot at home *smile*).  Then I read the second book in her Lucky Harbor series, The Sweetest Thing, which I also really liked but maybe not quite as much as the first book, Simply Irresistible, which was one of my favorite picks from last year.

I'll have my review for The Sweetest Thing sometime this month (I'll have to consult the calendar) but it will probably end up with a 4 star or better rating.  I will be recommending both books to my family and friends and plan to buy a copy of Animal Magnetism to add to my personal library since the copy I read was from my local public library.  Can't wait to read the next book in each of the series!  I guess what it comes down to is that I just can't seem to get enough of Jill Shalvis' romances!!

This week at Seductive Musings:
  • I think I have a few giveaway winners to announce.  I will probably try to get that done sometime today because the rest of this week is going to be crazy busy with guests
  • Tuesday:  Author Mari Carr will be here to celebrate the first book in her Compass Brothers series, Northern Exposure written with Jayne Rylon.  We're talking sexy cowboys, menage and more in this red hot read!
  • Wednesday:  Author Eden Bradley will be here to celebrate her new paranormal red hot read (and I mean hot), The Turning Kiss.  We're talking sexy vampires, BDSM as well as menage and more...so yeah it's smokin' hot!
  • Thursday:  we will be heading to the Scottish highlands with Mary Wine's new historical romance Highland Heat.  I seem to see a theme this week...heat and more heat :)
  • Friday:  Monica Burns will be here for her newest historical romance, Pleasure Me
Also of interest:
  • The new Tempting Trailer for this week is for Eternal Rider by Larissa Ione, the first book in her new paranormal romance series Lords of Deliverance.
Finally, congratulations to all of the authors celebrating new releases this week!

I don't use Amazon to earn money, I use it because the widgets are cool, easy to use, and serve my purposes to showcase books & such with minimal effort, but most importantly they have great prices and offer both new and used items. As a book addict I love that I can find just about anything I want in one place. If you are going to purchase a featured book anyway, and you know you won't pay more by using the links on this blog than you would by visiting Amazon on your own, I will be eternally grateful for supporting this blog by using the links, and don't forget that the referral fees from your purchases will sponsor the "Reader Rewards" giveaways :)

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy one...so in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca gift cards on this rewards site)
