Operation Auction for Fatin and her family started today. From what I understand the auction will take place in three parts and most items will be up for auction for three days. Some items are open to International bidders, other are for US bidders only. I donated a few items, but none of them have come up for auction yet (Hardcover UK edition of Desperate Duchesses signed by author Eloisa James, two copies of the special free edition of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, and one year's worth of advertising/sponsor space at Seductive Musings)
I was able to change the coding (slightly) in my Ebay widget to reflect Operation Auction instead of the items that for sale under my id (booklover1335). Unfortunately, Ebay's widget is not very user friendly and required me to input a search term for the items in the Operation Auction Ebay Store (when I wanted it to show all items). Since a single word or term was not used in all of the listings this widget (that I used to heart) will only pick up the things that contain the search term in the title. The term I decided upon and gave the most results (w/o an error) was ARC. So this widget only shows the auction items that contain an ARC book (advanced review copy). While not perfect it will give you a brief glimpse of what is available.
To view ALL of the items up for auction visit the Operation Auction 2011 Ebay Store
Note: A smaller version of the widget above will remain in the left sidebar of the blog until all three auctions have ended. I have also changed the link in the Operation Auction banner at the top of the blog to go to the Operation Auction Ebay store instead of the Operation Auction blog. Just in case you'd like to contribute items or make a donation you can click here to be taken to the blog.
*I am an Amazon affiliate and receive a small (and I mean very small) referral fee for purchases made using a link on this blog. I don't use Amazon to earn money, I use it because the widgets are cool, easy to use, and serve my purposes to showcase books & such with minimal effort, but most importantly they have great prices and offer both new and used items. As a book addict I love that I can find just about anything I want in one place. If you are going to purchase a featured book anyway, and you know you won't pay more by using the links on this blog than you would by visiting Amazon on your own, I will be eternally grateful for supporting this blog by using the links, and don't forget that the referral fees from your purchases will sponsor the "Reader Rewards" giveaways :)
