Monday's Muse

Monday, May 16

Sorry, but the image containing the Monday's Muse has been removed from this blog so as not to violate any copyright issues.  Thanks for your understanding!

I had another really busy week, so I didn't do as much on the blog as I had planned, and to top it all off, when I did find time to prepare for the Isobel Carr Ripe for Pleasure post ,Blogger was down for the count due to a bad upgrade.  How's that for bad timing!  So the web gurus at Blogger put it in a read only mode for more than a day so that they could fix what went wrong...which really screwed up a few things for both you and for me.

It appears that any comments made on Wednesday May 11, 2011 have been lost.  So if you happened to have made a comment to enter the Katie Lane giveaway on Wednesday (before Blogger made it so you couldn't make a comment) then you might want to double check to make sure you comment was saved.  I'm so sorry for the delay in the feature of Ripe for Pleasure and for any comments that were inadvertently not saved due to the problems with Blogger.

Enough of the problems, let's get to the good stuff (you might find it interesting that when I went to type good my mind told my hands to type "book" ).  Our Muse.  To put it mildly.  I'm tired.  I just want to go back to bed and have a do-over on my weekend so when I found the ever so sexy Gabriel Aubry in bed, I thought to myself.  That's exactly what would make it all better :)  That and the really good sheets he's advertising.  I swear to God, that luxury sheets are worth every single penny that they cost!  I'm sure Mr. Aubry would be worth just about any price too :)

This week at Seductive Musings:
  • Tuesday:  I'll have the guest post from author Isobel Carr that was supposed to have posted last Friday.  I'm still a little bit peeved about not being able to do this when planned :(
  • Wednesday-Friday:  I'm going to focus on reviews and try to post as many as I can get ready.
  • Tempting Trailer: The tempting trailer this week is for Julia Quinn's upcoming historical romance Just Like Heaven.  Anyone else here big fan of Julia's like I am?  This book starts the Smythe-Smiths sisters (who are musically challenged) and I can't wait to read it because I always found their cameo appearances in previous books to be amusing.
Also of Interest:

Finally, I'd like to congratulate all of the authors will new releases this week, especially Musings author Vivian Arend who has a new addition to her Pacific Passion series, Silent Storm.

I don't use Amazon to earn money, I use it because the widgets are cool, easy to use, and serve my purposes to showcase books & such with minimal effort, but most importantly they have great prices and offer both new and used items. As a book addict I love that I can find just about anything I want in one place. If you are going to purchase a featured book anyway, and you know you won't pay more by using the links on this blog than you would by visiting Amazon on your own, I will be eternally grateful for supporting this blog by using the links, and don't forget that the referral fees from your purchases will sponsor the "Reader Rewards" giveaways :)

What sheets? Oh, those.

Blogger messed every body up last week.

I haven't read any Julia Quinn, but I do like that trailer. Very different.

A good week to all!

I have another image of Gabriel that I will have to feature as a Muse just for you! I'm glad you like it...and yes, there were sheets :)

I would highly recommend Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series, as well as The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever. I loved them all!

I've fallen a bit behind on my JQ reading, but I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of Just Like Heaven and can't wait to read it!

And yeah, Blogger :( Normally, everything is ok, but last week...when my time was already limited to have that kind of issue was really bad timing. I know I wasn't the only one, but just can't see how they could have something go so wrong and for them to take so long to fix it, but what can you do?

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both and gift cards on this rewards site)
