Share the Love: Lendle Giveaway June 2011

Friday, June 24

It's been a really, really long time since I've had a Share the Love post.  I missed it (as well as my blog anniversary) so I thought I would revive it with a giveaway every month til the end of the year!

Despite not having a Kindle, I've been purchasing Kindle books because some of the prices have been amazing, like "I can't NOT buy them even though my personal purse strings should be cinched tight" amazing, and hopefully someday soon I'll have one of those beauties for my very own so I can stop reading the books on my computer :)

Then, I realized that I haven't sponsored very many Seductive Musings giveaways recently (that haven't been already sponsored by an author or publisher) for one very simple reason, because the Musings coffers runneth a little low and the darn USPS keeps raising the Media Mail rate :(   So my answer to this little dilemma is to giveaway a "Lending" on my available Kindle books that I've purchased with my own money (or gotten as an Amazon freebie), that enable this feature.  Thus, no money is needed, but you still get the chance to win something!  Does that sound like something you'd be interested in?  If it were me, I know I would be, so I am going to take a guess that at least a few of you will be too :)

Here are a few titles that I can Lend from my Kindle library (hence Lendle), that you can borrow/win in this giveaway:  (in no particular order)
*I've not yet read these titles

So if you would like the opportunity to win a chance to borrow one of these digital books, just leave a comment.    Here are the restrictions (they aren't mine, but Amazon's):
  • You have to have a US personal email address
  • I can only lend each title once (as they are loaned I will cross them off the list)
  • You will have seven days to accept the Loan request once you receive the email from Amazon
  • You will have 14 days to read the title once you accept the Loan request from Amazon, at which point the book will no longer be available to you, so time is of the essence once you accept the request.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to loan it to you again if you don't finish within the allotted time
  • You have to be a Musings follower (this one is mine, not Amazon's)
And if you too have a Kindle library and have some books that you would be willing to lend to a fellow Musings follower leave a way for them to contact you in your comment.  My only other condition is this, if you are the winner and enjoy the book that you "borrow", that you consider buying either a new release or backlist title by that author to show your support and appreciation for their writing.  It's not required, but it would be a nice way to pay it forward. That's it!  Easy peasy!  Don't forget you don't need to have a Kindle in order to read Kindle books.

p.s. you don't need to select a title in your comment, if you are the winner then you can have your pick of one available title.  I'll be crossing them off as they are taken for future Lendle giveaways.

*I am an Amazon affiliate and receive a small (and I mean very small) referral fee for purchases made using a link on this blog. I don't use Amazon to earn money, I use it because the widgets are cool, easy to use, and serve my purposes to showcase books & such with minimal effort, but most importantly they have great prices and offer both new and used items. As a book addict I love that I can find just about anything I want in one place. If you are going to purchase a featured book anyway, and you know you won't pay more by using the links on this blog than you would by visiting Amazon on your own, I will be eternally grateful for supporting this blog by using the links, and don't forget that the referral fees from your purchases will sponsor the "Reader Rewards" giveaways :)

Oh, I can't loan every title from my Kindle, but I can loan many of them.

Thanks for letting me know!

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy one...so in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca gift cards on this rewards site)
