Monday's Muse

Monday, May 7

Sorry, but the image containing the Monday's Muse has been removed from this blog so as not to violate any copyright issues.  Thanks for your understanding!

I have two words for you....You're Welcome ;)  No need to thank me, I think it's a given considering this week's Muse.  I actually found him visiting at Lorelei James' blog last week, and knew he had to me least for a week :)

This past weekend I watched the first season of Game of Thrones.  It was good, but it wasn't as good as I expected it to be.  It was a lot of blood and breasts.  I probably still try to catch up on the second season though.  Have you seen it, or read the books by George R.R. Martin?  If so I'd love to know your thoughts

This week at Seductive Musings:
  • Monday:  I will have any outstanding winners later today
  • Tuesday: Historical Romance author Lila DiPasqua will be my guest to share with us her newest Fiery Tales, Undone
  • Wednesday:  It's the week of the historical romance as Grace Burrowes is also a guest this week to maybe spill Lady Maggie's Secret Scandal :)
  • Thursday:  I'll have a few reviews for you, one of which will be Andrea's review of the third book in Ava March's Brook Street series, Rogues.  I'll try to keep in the historical romance theme with any other reviews I post on this day.
  • Friday:  Bronwen Evans will be my guest on a stop of her Invitation to Romance Blog Tour to celebrate the release of Invitation to Scandal.  She's giving away some seriously great prizes during the tour, so you won't want to miss it.
  • Tempting Trailer:  This week's trailer is for Kristan Higgins' new novel, Somebody to Love.  I've only read one Higgins novel, and in the one I read someone died....unless absolutely necessary I don't like to mix death & romance so I've kind of stayed away from her since.  Though I know there are many people who love her books.  What say you?  Do I give her another try or not?

Also of Interest:
  • I mentioned earlier that Bronwen Evans is having a HUGE, and I mean HUGE giveaway in her Invitation to Romance Blog Tour.  Win a $200 Gift Card, signed books, and much more.  You can find all of the details here.

Finally, I'd like to congratulate all of the authors will new releases this week!!

I love Kristan Higgins' novels. If you are going to read Somebody to Love you might like to read Catch of the Day and The Next Best Thing as there are cross over characters, not necessary but you will get so much more from the book.
The Next Best Thing is my least favourite of Kristans and Catch of the Day my absolute favourite. I also love Until There Was You. I find her novels evoke so many different emotions and I've been known to shed a tear or two.

Thanks for the heads up Karen! If I decide to try another of her books Catch of the Day will definitely be one that I consider :)

Hey Lucky Carol,

If anyone is going to win the grand prize it's you, LOL. And yes, I wish I could keep him for more than a week! I knew you would love those thighs as much as I did...he took my breath away when I first saw him too ;)

I love love love love love Kristan Higgins. Her books are amazing. I just read "Somebody to Love" on Kindle and then I bought the paperback. She is part of what I call the "Romantic Amazing" Fab 4: Jill Shalvis, Kristan Higgins, Robyn Carr, and Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
My "Erotic Amazing" group includes Lorelei James, Joey W Hill, Shannon McKenna, Jaci Burton, Erin McCarthy and others.

Also, here is my earlier review for "My One and Only" by Kristan Higgins from a Year Ago:

Love the Muse and those whities!

I've watched all but the last two episodes of the first season of GOT. Just so much going on, but as usually happens, baseball season and NASCAR start and then episodic TV just falls by the wayside. I am not one to watch regular television.

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both and gift cards on this rewards site)
