Summary from the publisher:

When soccer star Chris Fischer moves next door to an openly gay classmate, he doesn't realize the wall between their rooms will be so thin he'll hear his neighbor's every move. But soon he and Peter become friends, and Chris is intrigued—imagining what happens on the other side of the wall.

Active on the Queer Student Council, Peter Cohen wishes he wasn't so damn hot for his straight neighbor. He can't tell if Chris is flirting or in denial or what, but Chris's innocent overtures lure Peter into flirtation that throws his world into chaos. Peter doesn't want to date a closet case, but he desperately, passionately wants Chris.

Soon Chris must choose whether to run away from his new feelings or embrace a relationship with the guy he loves. And Peter must decide if he can give his heart to a guy who hasn't yet figured it all out.

My Musings:

This book blew me away!  It begins with Chris moving into a single dorm room.  He decided to move from his old dorm and his soccer team roommates in order to get some privacy after the death of his mother.  He’s hurting, he’s confused and he needs some time to think and be himself without his friends hovering and trying to help.

Peter is his new next door neighbor.  He hears Chris crying at night through the thin dorm room walls and they start talking.  A strange friendship begins from there.  They talk through the wall and open themselves in a way they wouldn’t and couldn’t have opened up if they were face to face.

Peter and Chris felt so real for me.  They reminded me of normal college kids and totally took me back to my first couple of years in college.   I loved the vulnerability they each had.  The timid flirtations and awkward situations had my heart going out to them, they were adorable.   It was such a sweet and heartwarming romance that built up to a passionate and fulfilling relationship.

The indecision they were dealing with was especially touching.  Peter was berating himself for having a crush on a straight guy.  Later he was questioning the intelligence of getting involved with a closet case.  Chris had never even considered that he might be gay or questioned his sexuality before.  Once he realized he did want to be with a man he was working through the confusion, embarrassment and all the emotions I would expect with such a dynamic lifestyle change.  They each had their own group of friends, some were supportive and others were not.  The various friends helped to add depth and interest to the story outside of the dorm room.

I loved this book, I miss Chris and Peter already and it’s only been a day since I finished the book.

Overall:  4.75 (My only complaint is that I wanted more.)
Sensuality level: 3.5

Hey Andrea!

Thanks for hosting me on the blog and for taking the time to review my book!

Of course, I've read tons of m/m romance, but what I like best about it is the power exchange. I love how in male-male romance, the characters are equals, and both have the chance to sometimes take the lead. That's something I sometimes miss in M/F romance, where the gender roles can be more set in stone.

Can't wait to see what everyone else says. :)

I've read many M/M romances and it's one of my favorite genres. Just like all of the stories I read it's the relationship between the characters that I love most.

I've read several M/M mostly historical romance. I only think of them as slightly different from M/F romance when the author does a really good job of writing in the male 'voice' whether its because they are male or because they are female and great at channeling 'male'.

Enjoyed the post and look forward to reading this book.

I've read a few m/m romances. It's the 'maleness' - for want of a better word - that attracts.

I have read several M/M books. To me they are just like any other romance book. Just because they are about men doesn't mean that they can't have the same feelings as your typical M/F love story. It can be just as beautiful and heart wrenching. Thank you for the review. When I read what the publisher wrote about the book I thought it did not sound like a good book they left out so many things that you touched on in your review that I think would draw people to this book. I would not of picked this book to read by their description. Now I will because your review gave it so much more depth.

I have a lot of m/m romance books and like Daisy I enjoy the power exchange but also that you can see the men showing feeling and a shofter side. Mostly I enjoy a good story be in M/M or M/F, I like my protagonist to have a personality and act as independent persons.

I've read a lot of M/M romances stories and I love them. To me they are like any other romance story as long as the story is interesting I will read it. I just love the emotions and how they get together and by the end of the book they usually have worked out their problems.

I have not read any m/m and as someone who is pretty new to romance & erotica, I've been suprised to find so many m/m books. Are these written predominantly for straight female readers or gay male readers?

College Boys sounds like a good way to dip my toe into m/m books.

I like M/M best because I'd much rather read about sexy guys than some cliched heroine I can't relate to. Plus, het romance always seems so sexist to me.

I've read a lot of m/m books because I like the characters more in some of them, I like the story a lot. Mostly I prefer m/m books for their change in dynamics, when you start reading, you don't know in which role the characters end up taking.

Thank you for the blog tour Daisy, I'm looking forward to your books!

I have read an loved some m/m stories. I love the heroes so having 2 (or more) in a story is great.

I am definitely looking forward to this book. It sounds really great.
