Georgette Heyer is turning 110! She's not really turning 110, after all she's no longer alive, but that's not going to stop her publisher Sourcebooks Casablanca from celebrating it...in a big way!
Next week from August 14-20th all Georgette Heyer ebooks are on sale for just $2.99. If you prefer to read her books in print, then they certainly don't want you to feel left out, so if you use the promo code HEYER at checkout you will receive 30% off your her print books. This code is good until the end of the month....even better!
They will be doing lots of fun stuff next week on the Georgette Heyer Facebook page....lots of parties, discussions and giveaways. Speaking of giveaways the publisher of the reprinted versions of Georgette Heyer's romances, Sourcebooks, would like to giveaway a surprise grab-bag prize pack of 3 different Heyer novels: 1 Romance, 1 Mystery, 1 Historical Fiction to one lucky Musings follower!

Wow what a momentous occasion! I actually don't have a Georgette Heyer experience to share, but given that I love historical romances and have seen nothing but high praise for her stories all over the web, I am definitely going to have become experienced soon. Thanks for the heads up on the discount and giveaway!
The one and only time I had a Georgette Heyer book was when I won Venetia on a blog. But everything I've ever heard or read about her is all Positive. Loving Historical Romance as I do I'm surprised I haven't read more of her work. Thanks for the great opportunity.

Love Heyer. Her mysteries are right up there w/ Christie, Sayers, Marsh & Allingham. What a thoughtful way to introduce someone to her.
Thanks for the chance
Thanks for a great post! Ummm... does it count if I've always "meant" to read Heyer? She's the cornerstone of regency romance and I know that she's on my must read list... just gotta get moving on it :)
I picked up Frederica in Walmart, not even realizing that it was not a current author. I enjoyed it and really like her writing style.
I have heard good things about her books and I would love to read them.
I discovered Georgette Heyer as a teenager in the library. I went on to read every Heyer romance they had and I've been reading historical romance ever since. :D My favorite is The Grand Sophy, because Sophy is such a great character, I just love her.
*hangs head in shame* I have never read any of Georgette Heyer's books. I love historical romance and have heard nothing but great tings about her books so I'd love to start reading them. Thanks for the giveaway.
I really hadn't heard about her until we got a new librarian who thinks Austen's and Heyer's books are the only ones worth reading. I have one Heyer book, but it is still on my TBR mountain.
GFC follower, librarypat.
I've never read Georgette Heyer's books however I do have a copy of 'The Cotillion' on my TBR shelves. Really should bring it to the top of the heap to read next.
Thanks for the giveaway
I went through a phase in the 1980s when I read all of the Georgette Heyer titles that I could get my hands on (I think they were published by Fawcett) then I went on to read Patricia Veryan, Sylvia Thorpe and others with series that were being published at that time. Thanks for the giveaway!
I discovered Georgette Heyer through these great re-issues that Sourcebooks has been putting out recently. I read my first of her work last year, and I was hooked! Her style really reminds me of Jane Austen-- so classy. I haven't read any of her "modern" books yet, and I'm looking forward to it.
Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

I think Georgette was my first romance author (definitely first historical romance author), but it was 40+ years ago - I think it's time I read them again.
