Monday's Muse

Monday, October 1

I've been hard at work on a few book covers, and last week my latest Seductive Designs cover for authors Connie Mason and Mia Marlowe was unveiled.  *Sigh* I could just look at it all day because I love it so I thought to myself, "why not do it all week" and make him our Monday's Muse.  He's actually been my Muse a bit longer than that, while I was working on the cover, but I thought I would share it with you here on the blog in case you missed my posts on Facebook and Twitter over the weekend. I couldn't really share it here until today because of the Bloghop that was going on. If you'd like him for your own, Lord of Devil Isle will be released in digital e-book only this October!

I just love it (yes it deserves repeating), and it's not just because I helped create it, though I'm sure that does play a part :)  I know Musings follower Sheree is devoted to Paul Marron, but the cover model for this book, Karl,  may just give him a run for his money!  If you'd like to see more of him, you can find over 900 of his images Jenn LeBlanc's Illustrated Romance site :)  And if anyone (hint to Vivian Arend, and Lorelei James) is interested in having a Contemporary Romance with a Cowboy on the cover it'd be my complete me :)  I'm dying to use one of his cowboy images!  Yum!

Karl vs. Paul....who wins?
(answer:  US!, LOL)

This week at Seductive Musings:
  • Tuesday:  I'll have reviews for you, one of which will be Michele's review of The Trouble with Highlanders by Mary Wine
  • Wednesday:  Lori Foster will be my guest to share a bit about her new romantic suspense novel Run the Risk, and in case you haven't noticed there's a link to a contest to win a trip to see Lori Foster in the sponsor ad section.  Wouldn't that be fun?!!
  • Thursday:  Is kind of up in the air, maybe some reviews, or maybe a Thursday's Thoughts.  Depends on my mood, LOL.
  • Friday:  Author Jennifer Ashley will be my guest to share with us her new Shifter paranormal romance Mate Claimed.  I LOVE shifters!
  • Tempting Trailer:  This week's Tempting Trailer is for Bertrice Small's new historical romance Bianca, the first book in her new Silk Merchant's Daughters series.  In it the heroine falls in love with a Sultan.  I think I spent an entire summer devouring her books when I first discovered them. I don't know about you but I love the classic Bertrice Small epic novels that involved Sheiks and Sultans, so I was kind of excited to see her incorporate that into her new book set in Florence, Italy!  What say you?

Finally, I'd like to congratulate all of the authors with new releases this week, especially Musings authors Beth Kery, Lauren Dane, Vivian Arend, Lorelei James who has not one but two releases this week, Erin Nicholas, Julie Ann Walker, Jennifer Ashley, Vicki Lewis Thompson, Samantha Grace, Grace Burrowes, Mary Wine, Joan Swan, & Shannon McKenna!!  Congrats everyone!

I am still drooling here!

Yum! I have to say, I'm actually not that much of a Paul Marron fan, but I'll take this guy anytime.

Sheree October 1, 2012 at 8:14 PM

Sure, Karl is awesome and he knows how to hold a gun properly, but Paul Marron is still my favorite.

Hey Lexi,

Thank you and yes, having Karl to use as the main image DEFINITELY makes it a lot easier, and so much more enjoyable, LOL. And I'm sure the book will be as good if not better than the cover. How can you go wrong with both Mia & Connie as it's author?

Booklover1335 October 1, 2012 at 10:09 PM

Hey Carin,

Feel free to drool all week :) I know I will be!

Booklover1335 October 1, 2012 at 10:11 PM

Hey Jen,

I love them both...but since I don't have access to Paul Marron for my covers I was over the moon when Jenn LeBlanc found Karl...just wait until to see him on Delilah Marvelle's cover....oops just let the cat out of the bag so to speak. didn't hear that from me, LOL.

Hey Sheree,

You know I think I would have been just a little disappointed if you would have jumped ship to the Karl camp, LOL. Yes, all those puns were intended. I'm on quite the roll today, LOL. I can tell I'm getting campy I should sign off for the night :)

My FREE Kindle Quest

I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both and gift cards on this rewards site)
