Giveaway: A Wedding in Springtime by Amanda Forester

Friday, April 19

Historical Romance author Amanda Forester is known for her Highland Romances, but this spring she's venturing into the ballrooms of Regency England with a new trilogy that begins with A Wedding in Springtime (May 7, 2013).  A Wedding in Springtime has received some amazing reviews so far.  Publishers Weekly and Romantic Times have said this about the book:

"Highlander romance author Forester populates her witty first Regency romance with scene-stealingly smart characters". ~Publishers Weekly, Starred Review

"Forester promises her fans a warm, humorous jaunt through Regency England - and she delivers with a cast of engaging characters and delightful intrigue. "
~ Romantic Times, 4 Stars

I'm all for witty, humorous historical romances with great characters, so I can't wait to read this one!

~~~***~~~
Five minutes into Miss Eugenia Talbot's presentation at court, notorious rogue Mr. William Grant makes her laugh before the queen, ruining her debut. To hush up the scandal, Genie needs to make a brilliant marriage, and fast.  Genie's aunt hires a matchmaker to find a suitor—anyone except the infamous William Grant—but amiable Genie shows a disturbing tendency to follow her heart.  When a traitor creeps closer, threatening to ruin more than just her reputation, Genie and Grant are drawn into a dangerous world of deceit and intrigue, where losing their hearts could mean their ultimate undoing.
To celebrate the release of the first book in Amanda Forester's new Regency Historical Romance trilogy, A Wedding in Springtime, her publisher, Sourcebooks Casablanca, is giving away (1) one print copy to a lucky Musings follower (US & Canada only).  Enter to win in the Rafflecopter form below:
Thanks for the awesome post and giveaway! I think that I'd have liked to have crashed Kate and William's royal wedding or Brad and Angelina if they ever do :)
my oldest sister got married when I was about 9 & my brother was about 13. when the tossed the bouquet & garter we each caught the respective items, some joked that it was fixed though it wasn't (I fought for those flowers after all) :) of course my brother was embarrassed by having to put the garter on my leg but I was pretty happy about the whole thing ;)
I think I 'd have wanted to crash Justin Timberlake's wedding. I'm sure it was very beautiful and romantic.I love Amanda's Highlander books so I look forward to reading this new book.
I would love to read this book. The worst part of my wedding was that I was so nervous that I laughed through the whole ceremony. My husband was very understanding and just laughed about it. Thanks for having the giveaway.
The best part of my wedding was at the reception. My father, who rarely lets loose, really let loose that night. Hahahaha!!! He was about 71 at the time and very drunk! Nothing unlawful happened but a good time was had by ALL! Thank you for this great giveaway :)
The church I chose to be married in was undergoing a renovation (which I wasn't aware of), so the day of our small wedding my prospective mother-in-law was at the church laying white paper down over bare wood floors. It wasn't exactly a beautiful setting, but it did the job and the knot was tied.
One of my funniest wedding memories was of my grandfather dozing off during my sister's wedding. By that time, he had been through 8 of his 11 children's weddings (some more than 1), a few grand-children's weddings, not to mention of family members. They had to be a little boring to him.
One of the most touching wedding memories I have is of my grandparent's 50th Anniversary when they renewed their vowels in a second wedding. They were just as in love then after 11 children, and dozens of grandchildren & great grandchildren.
My husband and I attended a wedding on a ship that circled New York Harbor and we saw the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline lit up at night.
Depending on how you look at it, my MIL gave my husband and I the best/worst wedding gift. It was a beautiful picture frame. Unfortunately, it had a horrible photo of her in it and we couldn't take it out and use it because everytime she came over, which was almost everyday, she looked for it.
My FREE Kindle Quest
I've wanted a Kindle for what seems like forever, but haven't been able to afford it (and that's saying something since I can justify the cost of just about ANYTHING that I really want). I've tried winning one in one of the many giveaways that have taken place over the couple of years, but with no luck :( So I've decided to take matters in hand so to speak :) I've now decided that I am going to accumulate enough Swagbucks from my Swabucks searches to buy one...so in essence my new Kindle will be FREE...funded entirely by my internet searches done on Swagbucks. I'll keep you informed of the Great Kindle Quest below (in case you're interested....if not feel free to just skip over this part, but really who wouldn't be interested in a FREE Kindle?)
Goal: $119
Current Swagbucks Amazon Gift Card balance: $90.00
If you'd like to learn how you can earn Swagbucks and earn your own Amazon Gift Cards to buy books, a Kindle or other merchandise sold at Amazon contact me and I would be more than happy to tell you how I plan to go about it. (just so you know you can earn both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca gift cards on this rewards site)
