Giveaway: The Bridegroom Wore Plaid & Once Upon a Tartan by Grace Burrowes

Thursday, August 22

Follow along as Casablanca Sourcebooks gives SIGNED copies of the two books in Grace Burrowes’ emotional and sensual Scottish Victorian-set MacGregor romance series: THE BRIDEGROOM WORE PLAID and ONCE UPON A TARTAN (August 2013) !

Honor or happiness—he can’t have both.

Tiberius Flynn may be every inch an English lord, but smart, headstrong beauty Hester Daniels has no use for his high-handed ways--no matter how handsome, charming, or beguiling he is. They only see eye to eye in caring about the feisty little girl who is under their protection.

Tiberius's haughty insistence that his wealthy estate in England is a better place for the child than her beloved, rundown Scotland home sparks Hester's fierce protectiveness, and the battle lines are drawn.

Hire a maid! Oh yeah, she is the maid, lol. No tips here :( I hate house cleaning!
Great giveaway! Thank you.

Love Grace's books. And loving this tour. Thanks for the chance.
A cleaning tip ?. hmmm, rushing to get it over with ? lol Seriously, a few years back I read in a magazine how one woman said her husband's white T-shirts and white socks looked almost new after 5 years. Her secret was using laundry detergent, bleach and dish washing detergent. Her husband was in construction and she said the guys on the job used to joke and ask her husband how much he spent on new t-shits every week. I tried it and my kids socks and tees were always a heck of lot whiter for a lot longer.

Love the name "Tiberius"--as in James "T" Kirk ; ) These two books would be perfect for a delicious weekend of reading! Thanks for a great giveaway!!!

I live in the Highlands of Virginia, I am Scottish by heritage, and I have long dreamed of visiting the Scottish Highlands. Highlanders are brawny, brave, intense Alpha males. The “Alpha” male is the dominant leader of the pack. They have qualities and strengths which make them “number one”! Along with all that greatness can come arrogance, a “my way is the only way” attitude, and a sometimes ornery personality. However, their fierce devotion to their loved ones, their loyalty and their innate honor all go together quite nicely to smooth the rough edges. I love big, grumbly, tough men who have even bigger hearts and an inner core of compassion. I also appreciate intelligence and humor, but kindness is the essential quality. At any moment of any given day, I prefer the gruff, but genuine, gentlemanliness of a Highlander wearing his clan plaid! Especially if he has great legs : )

I love the romance of highland stories!

Good morning, Grace. Love it when a Lord who has "high-handed ways" is brought low--in love--by a feisty heroine. :-) Also can't wait for Lady Jenny’s Christmas Portrait!

Geez, forgot to answer the question--again! What do I like about Highland romances? Everything: the ruggedness of the land the the heroes, the strength of the women, and (of course) the kilts and brogues.

Jane August 22, 2013 at 4:43 PM

It's definitely the beautiful setting, but also the Scottish burr.

erin August 22, 2013 at 7:23 PM

The strong heroines, the men in kilts and the HEA!

Donya Lynne August 23, 2013 at 5:45 PM

To be honest, I haven't read many highlander stories. Just one. But this series sounds very good and I'd like to read it. Maybe this can be my "re-introduction" to highlander stories. So many readers seems to love 'em. :)

Kamla L. August 24, 2013 at 1:18 AM

My favorite things are the strong, capable, passionate, loyal kilt wearing hotties and that they are always balanced by equally passionate, strong, females who love them.

Theresa August 24, 2013 at 12:39 PM

The history of the highlands!
