Summary from the publisher:
In the early 23rd Century, vampires learned how to travel back in time, and created a time-tsunami that threatened life as we know it, until they corrected their mistake. They created the Chronometric Conservation Agency, which is tasked with preserving history and therefore protecting humanity's future. The Touring arm of the Agency offers trips back into the real past, with vampire guides, called travellers.
When Natalia (Tally) Marta, vampire and traveller, takes her client to visit the siege of Stirling Castle in 1314, she is caught and held hostage for ransom by Robert MacKenzie, a Bruce clansman. Rob finds himself drawn to the wilful, stubborn and very different English lady he has captured and the relationship becomes an intimate, highly-charged sexual pairing. Swiftly, Tally and Rob realize their bond is more than sexual, that the emotions stirring their hearts are true.
Christian Lee Hamilton, vampire, one of the last true southern gentlemen, and Tally's ex-lover, knows the 1314 time marker enough to jump back and help Tally return home. His arrival at Bannockburn adds complications, for Christian finds himself drawn to Rob MacKenzie as much as Tally is. But neither of them can stay in the past forever. To do so means certain death.

My Musings:
When I read ‘vampire’ and ‘time travel’ in the description, I was curious. Turns out, this is a melting pot of Sci-Fi and Paranormal with a touch of Historical. The author writes this story with several primary characters and changes POV’s often. I didn’t find it distracting at all. Rather, it kept me wondering how the characters would tie together.
Tally, initially introduced as Natalie, is a vampire with an appetite – not for blood. Tally goes back in time – part of her job – and meets Robs, a Scotsman. Rob is an intelligent man that had an uncanny ability to read Tally and anticipate her actions, which I sometimes found unrealistic (yes, I know… like vampires are so real.) Anyway, sparks fly and the temperature rises with some hot scenes between the two.
When Lee, a flame from Tally’s past is introduced, I thought it would be a love triangle. Nope! This is a no holes barred MMF romance. I found the moments between Rob and Lee sweeter than most of the ones Rob and Tally shared. The emotional involvement between Rob and Tally seemed a little lacking. I want to feel a little yearning before the clothes come off.
Though this read entertained me, and kept me turning pages, it didn’t win my heart or my daydreams because of the weak emotional romance. BUT it did keep me thinking after it ended. I really liked that this was a vampire book with some pretty deep Sci-Fi elements. This is a great start to a series and worth the read for those who like sci-fi and vampires. A great mix!
